Naturepedic is on a mission to eliminate toxic chemicals from sleep products and replace them with natural and organic materials, all while delivering the highest quality products available. While we are proud of our certifications, we don't stop there. In many cases, we hold ourselves to a far stricter standard, for example, by including support for sustainable forestry management. So, when we refer to organic latex, we mean latex that is GOTS approved for use in certified organic mattresses, which includes support for the expansion of our planet's sustainable rubber tree forests and still delivers the healthiest mattresses possible.

Certified Mattresses & Bedding
Naturepedic organic products meet the organic and non-toxic standards of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recognizes GOTS as the standard for organic consumer goods.

Certified Latex
Naturepedic uses organic latex that meets the organic and non-toxic standards of the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS). The GOLS certification also includes a focus on human health, safety and welfare, and the environment.

Certified Latex + Wood
Preferred by Nature has certified Naturepedic for Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Chain of Custody for latex and wood that meets FSC standards. All the packaging purchased by Naturepedic is from FSC certified suppliers. FSC certified latex is also approved by GOTS in our organic mattresses. FSC-certification meets rigorous environmental, social and economic criteria designed to protect lands, ecosystems and workers.

Certified Non-Toxic
MADE SAFE certifies products made with ingredients not known or suspected to cause human health harm. The materials used by Naturepedic have been scrutinized by scientists and experts to ensure they do not contain harmful ingredients or release vapors, gases, or by-products that could impact human health.
“I sleep on a Naturepedic mattress. It’s what I use, it’s what I use for my kids, and it guarantees that when I’m sleeping my body can detox from all the chemicals and rejuvenate and recharge, and the reason why is because it’s not struggling with fire retardants and pesticides and other chemicals that can make their way into a traditional mattress.”
- Amy Ziff, Founder & Executive Director

Tested for Chemical Emissions
UL/GREENGUARD is a third-party certification program that tests for chemical emissions from consumer products and materials. All Naturepedic products are certified to the UL/GREENGUARD Gold Certification as well as the UL formaldehyde-free standard.

Organic Content Standard
The Organic Exchange OCS100 Certification Program ensures proper tracking of organic material from its source to the finished product. Naturepedic is certified to meet this standard, demonstrating that the organic fiber in our products has been independently verified.

Green America
Through its involvement with Green America and the Green Business Network, Naturepedic conducts its business according to standards that reach beyond contemporary practices in addressing the needs of consumers, employees, communities and the environment.

Naturepedic is a proud member of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and our vegan mattress models are certified by PETA as well. Several Naturepedic mattresses are offered without wool and are PETA-Approved Vegan certified. No animal-derived ingredients or materials are used in these products.
